Penelope's Deception

Inspired by the ever-faithful Penelope. To keep suitors at bay as she awaited the return of her husband, she said she would choose one of them after she finished weaving a burial shroud for Odysseus' elderly father. Only she didn't tell them that each night, she unraveled a portion of the shroud. She managed to keep up this charade for three years, before one of her unfaithful servants exposed the deception to the men vying for her hand.
